What college should I go to for my year abroad?

Hi,

I am currently studying politics at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom and next year I have the opportunity to go and study for a year in the USA. I have wanted to go to the USA since I was about 8, and I'd like to live there when I am older. I have never been before so I would like an all-American feeling city/college. I like the look of New York City, but it isn't a study abroad partner so I cannot go there, and as much as I'd like to study there I don't think it is very all-American – too much multiculturalism. I'd like to live there for sure, but would rather have a traditional all-American college year, seen in movies like American Pie, etc. I know it's shallow but films have played a part in my adoration for the USA, so to be in the same feeling place as a film would be a pro. I don't mind if it's a city or small college town I go to, just as long as it feels American.

The list of options are:
Drexel University, Philadelphia
Montana State, Bozeman
Eastern Oregon Uni
OSU
Portland State
South Oregon Uni
Uni of Oregon
West Oreg Uni
Uni Buffalo (SUNY)
Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Maryland at College Park
New Mexico, Albuquerque
UNC Chapel Hill
Oklahoma-Norman
Pittsburgh Uni
Texas at Austin
UW Milwaukee
Virginia Tech

Thanks 

What is a VPN?

VPN is (Virtual Private Network) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips). Today they are increasingly being used for personal use by individuals to protect their privacy while online in public places (e.g. when using the wi-fi connection in a cafe) or in a country where the internet is censored / blocked (e.g. China, Saudi Arabia…).
